How the tuneDiesel kit work

The installation is split into two straightforward parts: connecting the TuneDiesel device and replacing the required section of the factory exhaust.

On the electronic side, the supplied wiring harness connects the device directly to the designated connections on the truck. There is no software to load, no tuning process to go through, and no laptop that needs to stay connected. Once the wiring is in place, the device remains installed on the truck and handles its job automatically.

Underneath the truck, the required factory emissions section is removed and replaced with the exhaust components supplied with the kit. Once both sides are installed, there is no separate controller to operate and no settings you need to keep adjusting every time you drive.

Step 1: Safe Disassembly

Always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Then, carefully unplug the factory sensors from the stock exhaust system, retaining the original bolts for the new setup.

Step 2: Bolt-On Exhaust Swap

Drop the heavy, restrictive factory exhaust sections. Because our pipes are precision-machined for your specific truck bed and cab size, they bolt right up to the original mounting points without any modifications.

Step 3: Connect the Module

Mount the tuning module securely in the engine bay away from extreme heat sources. Plug the custom harness directly into the designated OEM ports—it only fits one way, making it foolproof.

Step 4: Fire It Up

Double-check all connections, reconnect the battery, and start the engine. You will immediately notice a deeper exhaust tone, clearer dashboard, and sharper throttle response.
